The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has officially broken its silence following his death by releasing a public statement addressing the circumstances surrounding his passing.

The family also dismissed widespread reports claiming that Alexx Ekubo died from Stage 4 liver cancer, clarifying instead that the actor passed away due to complications arising from advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
According to the statement, Alexx battled the illness bravely and remained hopeful throughout his health struggle. The family described him as a loving husband, son, brother, and friend who carried his pain with strength, faith, and courage.
