The Lagos State Government, via the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has finalized preparations for the conduct of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination, (BECE), scheduled to hold from July 2 to July 8, 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Public Affairs Officer of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Onadipe Opebere.
In line with the statement, the Director of the Examinations Board, Adebayo Orunsolu, described the BECE as a significant academic milestone for students moving from junior secondary to senior secondary school.
"The board is committed to ensuring a fair and seamless examination process across public and private schools in Lagos State,” Orunsolu stated.
He encouraged students participating in the examination to prepare diligently and approach it with confidence and determination.
Orunsolu also called on school administrators, parents and guardians to take note of the examination dates and adhere strictly to the prescribed guidelines.
He also gave an assurance to all stakeholders that proper measures have been put in place to ensure the successful conduct of the examination across the state.
