The Federal Government has announced plans to enforce an 18-year age limit for students sitting for WASSCE and NECO exams. This move aims to regulate the age of students taking these critical exams.

The policy has received mixed reactions from the public, with some supporting the move as a way to ensure students are emotionally and academically prepared for the exams. Others, however, have criticized the policy as being retrogressive and not aligned with global best practices.

Concerns have been raised about the potential impact on students currently in SS3 who are below the age of 18. Some argue that this policy may disadvantage these students and create unnecessary barriers to their education.

The Federal Government's enforcement of the 18-year age limit for WASSCE and NECO exams has sparked a debate about the appropriate age for students to take these exams. While the policy aims to promoted  academic preparedness, its implementation may have unintended consequences for some students.
